NAHB NAMES JEAN EWELL 2013 MASTER IN RESIDENTIAL MARKETING OF THE YEAR

WASHINGTON, Feb. 18 —  Jean Ewell, CMP, CSP, Master CSP, MIRM, a sales and marketing professional who has been in the building industry for more than two decades, has been named the 2013 Master in Residential Marketing (MJean Ewell and Ken Stricker with Consort HomesIRM) of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  MIRM is the highest professional designation offered by NAHB to signify excellence in new home sales and marketing.

A resident of Wildwood, Mo., Ewell is a sales manager for Consort Homes, a leading builder in St. Charles County near St. Louis. Previously, Ewell was a broker and sales professional for Keller Williams Realty Chesterfield for seven years and spent a combined 15 years as the director of marketing for both The Manlin Company and C.F. Vatterott Construction Company.

A long-time member of the Home Builders Association of St. Louis & Eastern Missouri, Ewell is also a former member of the National Sales and Marketing Council’s Board of Trustees and a past president of NAHB’s Institute of Residential Marketing. She also is an instructor for NAHB’s sales and marketing education courses and co-authored the Certified New Home Sales Professional, a three-day course offering in-depth sales training.

In addition to earning the MIRM, Ewell holds three other NAHB sales and marketing designations — Certified New Home Marketing Professional (CMP), Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP) and the Master Certified New Home Sales Professional (Master CSP).

Jean believes in the power of effective marketing and creating a well-trained sales force that can help builders to achieve their goals.”

The IRM Board of Governors presents the MIRM of the Year award to an industry professional who best showcases the importance of this designation and promotes professionalism within the industry. Ewell has held the MIRM designation since 1997.

Ewell and other leading industry professionals was recognized on Feb. 3 at the Designation Achievement Reception during the 2014 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.
